Communications believes that every church in every
community is unique, was created by the Holy Spirit, and belongs
to God. Successful churches are those that embrace vertical and
horizontal communication strategies, building relationships with
God (vertical) and others (horizontal). Scott will explore
effective strategies for existing members and effective
strategies for welcoming the new. |

Beth Lewis
leadership has literally transformed the Augsburg Fortress from
being on life support to being an vibrant & effective publishing
enterprise for a new century. She will explore trends from
Gutenberg to Google and beyond. Her keen marketing analysis
enables congregations to benefit from developing trends and new
ministry opportunities. |

Dr Andy Root joined Luther Seminary in 2005 as
assistant professor of youth and family ministry. His ministry
experience includes being a gang prevention counselor in Los
Angeles, youth outreach directed in a congregation, staff member
of Young Life, and a confirmation teacher. He has also been a
research fellow for Princeton Theological Seminary's Faith
Practices Project. He will speak to effective ways to
reach and relate to generations that are absent from many
churches.
