Your Senior Pastor has many responsibilities…the demands are great but no one knows that than you! Perhaps you also know that there are only a few churches in the entire ELCA as large as you (2 %). The average Lutheran Church has one Pastor with an average worship attendance more than 150. The ELCA designs its programs to help the average Church, not the large congregation. So where can your Pastor turn when they need inspiration, refreshment, support cutting-edge programming, and new ideas for old problems? For nearly 20 years we have provided a viable alternative.

The Senior Pastors of Large Lutheran Churches Conference was established to nourish, educate, sustain, and encourage the Pastors' of large congregations, helping them to keep abreast of changes required to meet the needs of today's rapidly changing society.

Your Senior Pastor has been selected to receive this invitation to the Annual Senior Pastor of Large Lutheran Congregations Conference. The conference starts the first Monday in May. The conference will provide an opportunity for your pastor to grow personally and spiritually. Dialog with peers in congregation as large (or larger) will offer new ideas, support and opportunities for creative problem solving. These networks of relationships will provide continuing resource following the conference. Our goal is to provide a positive and helpful experience for your pastor that will prove to be an invaluable asset and blessing for your entire congregation.

It is our hope that you recognize the tremendous value of such a conference for your congregation and the Church at large. The cost of sending your Senior Pastor and spouse will be returned many times over. Our Presiding Bishop attends the conference.
